Boeing plans to buy back stock for the first time

Boeing Co. announced that it will buy back up to 15% of its more than 972 million outstanding shares. The move represents the company's first major stock-repurchasing program. Analysts were caught off-guard by the potential size of Boeing's proposed repurchase. The company's stocks have been one of the worst performing in the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
