Environmentalists hail victory as rail plans get all wet
Article Abstract:
The Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department won a ruling against Kowloon-Canton Railway Corp. over the construction of a bridge that would run through wetlands that included over 200 bird species, including 4 that were in danger. Although Kowloon is due to issue a statement on the ruling, many environmental coalitions, including the Conservancy Association, are celebrating the victory.

Faith drops in mobile sector

Share prices of mobile phone operators China Mobile (Hong Kong) Ltd. and China Unicom Ltd. have dropped over 20% as confidence in China's cellular phone market is falling. Many investors fear that the wealthy already own mobile phones and that the poor will not be spending a lot on new phones.
