An agreement has finally been reached between the US and Canadian government regarding beer imports and exports. Canada had strict rules about beer having to be sold in the province in which it was made. It also did not want to allow less expensive US beers to be sold there.

America builds a trade block
Article Abstract:
The proposed North American Free Trade agreement will net all participants at least a modest gain and should be endorsed wholeheartedly. Increased trade among the US, Canada and Mexico could cause each economy to grow.

The trade agreement with the US is highly unpopular with many Canadians. They see the treaty as a strong factor in Canada's increasing unemployment rate. The real problem, however, is Canada's low productivity rate.
