Brum's rush for library

The plan to build a library for the Brum citizens in the Birmingham Eastside region has received a series of setbacks since its inception in 1999. The Conservative/Liberal coalition in 2004 dismissed the original architects and decided on a new scheme, which started a quarrel over its cost that continues unabated, while the citizens of Brum remain deprived of the library facilities they are entitled to.
