Bugsy and the Indians: gambling

Native Americans are increasingly running casinos on their reservations as a means of raising money. The Agua Caliente Indians, who own a large part of Palm Springs, CA, recently voted to run a casino on their land. Over half of the nation's 280 reservations have some form of casino gambling.

Gambling on flat screens
Article Abstract:
Television manufacturers are developing flat-screen liquid crystal display (LCD) devices for use in the next generation of high-definition television (HDTV) monitors. Active-matrix color LCD's and ferro-electric LCD's are the two most promising varieties currently under study.
