Optimism in future freight market

The International Air Transport Assn's freight forecast provides an optimistic outlook after two years of caution. The drivers are almost the same, with Asia cetnral to the sharp improvement inmarket confidence. The average annual growth rate for international scheduled traffic is put at 6.7%, up 1.2% from the previous forecast, and up 1.4% on the 1998-2002 forecast. as a result, the volume of international freight will rise by 6.6 million tons to 23.8 million in 2004.
