Museums, the client's way
Article Abstract:
Architects need to take account of the needs of both the client and the local community when designing a museum. The best museum architects are those who listen to the client, taking care to seek advice from museum conservators and curators. It is vital that there is a close dialogue between the architect and the client, as it is in this way that the architect can interpret the museum's vision creatively. Behind-the-scenes museum visits can play a key role in gaining an insight into the museum's vision.
