CERC TEST FINDS ASPIRIN BRANDS SUBSTANDARD
Article Abstract:
As per the findings of the Consumer Education Research Centre (CERC), all tablets of Aspirin available in India are not effective. The test was conducted on two types of aspirin - soluble and plain. It was found that soluble Aspirin, Dispirin and Colspirin brands met the Indian Pharmacopoenia (IP) standards and the plain aspirin of Indigenous Drug Pharmaceuticals, CPL Enterprise, Debonair Pharmaceuticals and Manish Pharma Lab failed to meet the IP standards. NPPA REVISES RIFAMPICIN PRICES
Article Abstract:
The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has increased the prices of anti-tuberculosis bulk drug rifampicin to Rs4,885 per kg from Rs4,807 per kg. The move will benefit the formulators who use the bulk drug to manufacture finished dosage forms. They will get higher prices for these drugs as per the government's pricing structure. (gs) (khr)
