CP increased its pre-tax profit in 2000

Ceska posta (CP) (Prague, Czech Republic), Czech Post, increased its pre-tax profit by 28.7% to CEK 856 mil in 2000 compared to 1999. In 2000 CP invested CEK 976 mil, mainly in the modernization of buildings and post-office counters. CP is operating 3,400 branches throughout the Czech Republic at the beginning of 2001 compared to 3,480 branches at the beginning of 1998.

SPP Bohemia reports profit
Article Abstract:
SPP Bohemia (Prague, Czech Republic), natural-gas company, saw a net profit of CEK 323.1 mil in 2000. The profit was 740% bigger compared to the CEK 38.4 mil generated in 1999. The growth was influenced primarily by increased revenues for the storage of natural gas in an underground reservoir in Dolni Bojanovice, Czech Republic.
