Calgary airport offers trip to Space
Article Abstract:
The Calgary Airport Authority has launched a marketing campaign for the newly-opened C$3-million Spaceport entertainment/education center. According to Tom Walsh, chairman of the Airport Authority, the 1,800-sq-m facility is designed to provide fun not only to the 12 million travelers who use the airport annually but also to other people. Also, the center is being promoted as an entertainment destination and a tourist spot that features flight simulators, a simulated tour of the International Space Station, moon rocks and a quarter-scale space shuttle.
