Call off the dogs of war
Article Abstract:
The presidents of Sudan and Uganda have signed an agreement to end activity by rebels on their sides of the border between the two countries. Each president has agreed to end support for rebels and to respect the border of the other. The Lord's Resistance Army has been involved in a 13-year-old conflict in Uganda, but its leader is said to be ill, and the guerrillas are hampered by Uganda's efforts to strengthen its border. Meanwhile, rebels from Allied Democratic Forces are creating problems in western Uganda.

Japanese companies have invested heavily in the developments of hotels and resorts in Hawaii, with some of the investments having no hope at breaking even. The Grand Hyatt Wailea Resort and Spa on Maui cost $600 million to build and its owners are facing enormous losses.

Wowow Programming Inc is experiencing unexpected and disastrous financial difficulties as Japanese households have failed to subscribe to the satellite service. Japanese have become frugal since the recession and are not purchasing expensive luxuries.
