Campaigning in Clinton country
Article Abstract:
The Clinton presidency could be said to have ended after the Monica Lewinsky affair, since there was little energy left for new projects. Republican presidential candidate, John McCain, has built on a feeling of disillusionment, though Clinton has affected US politics in a number of ways, and not all of them have been negative. The US economy has performed well under Clinton, though recovery started under George Bush Sr. The budget surplus has also built up. The political themes such as inclusiveness reflect Clinton's views, and usage of focus groups and consultants is also a Clinton practice.

The home front: Bill Clinton
Article Abstract:
Bill Clinton has managed to improve conditions in Arkansas somewhat. His record as governor is fine, but not spectacular. He is popular in his home state and they hope that he will do for the country what he has done for Arkansas.

Bill Clinton's bad habits
Article Abstract:
Bill Clinton's front-runner status in the fall 1992 Presidential campaign is jeopardized by two political flaws: his evasiveness on the draft issue and his tendency to pander to Democratic interest groups. Clinton should display leadership by speaking honestly on his past and present policy positions.
