Canada goes to pot
Article Abstract:
The US is concerned about cannabis imports from Canada, and marijuana is said to be British Colombia's top export crop. Plant genetics and other high tech developments have meant that British Colombian cannabis has become valued for its potency. The penalties for selling and growing marijuana are seen as too light by some critics, and there is concern about the involvement of organized crime in the trade. There is also concern about the impact of the trade in Quebec.
