Chemapol's chief says group will likely restructure

Chemapol Group President Vaclav Junek stated that the Czech conglomerate will likely restructure in the future to stop the continuous losses that it has been registering. In 1997, the industrial concern posted a loss 5.8 billion korunas 33.56 billion korunas in revenue. The company will probably look to divest its noncore assets in the coming months to return to profitability. Although it is among the largest industrial players in Czechoslovakia, Chemapol is not only dealing with petrochemical production and trading, but it also has other operations in ordnance, hotels and even golf course.
