Chemopetrol to build polypropylene unit
Article Abstract:
Chemopetrol (Litvinov, Czech Republic), petrochemical company, will begin building a polypropylene unit in 2000. After the unit is completed, Chemopetrol's polypropylene production will rise from 114,000 t to 250,000 t per year. To cover the foreign deliveries of production equipment for the unit, Chemopetrol will be granted 35 mil EUR by Societe Generale (France) and Citibank (US). The arranger of the financing of the inland deliveries is Ceska sporitelna (Czech Republic). The new unit is a part of a large investment programme worth 455 mil EUR. The technology supplier within the project is Foster Wheeler (Italy).

Chemopetrol to extend polypropylene production
Article Abstract:
Chemopetrol (Litvinov, Czech Republic), petrochemical company, will complete the construction of a new polypropylene unit in 2002. The total costs on the project will amount to 1.6 bil Kc. The technological equipment will be supplied by Foster Wheeler. The new unit will have a capacity of 250,000 t per year and will replace the old equipment that has 50% smaller output. By 2002 Chemopetrol wants to raise its polypropylene and polyethylene capacity to more than 500,000 t per year.

Chemopetrol BM intends to invest
Article Abstract:
Chemopetrol BM (Litvinov, Czech Republic), chemical company, will invest about 230 mil Kc in the preparation of its production programme. Within the programme, the company intends to focus on the processing of heavy oil residues from the operation of the oil-refining company Ceska rafinerska (Litvinov, Czech Republic). In the first stage BM should produce water-proof asphalt bands, later also modified asphalts and possibly engineering plastics.
