Chevron-Texaco merger discussions stall
Article Abstract:
Merger negotiations between Chevron Corp. and Texaco Inc. have stalled. This development could mean the collapse of the proposed merger between Chevron and Texaco. Little progress has been made by both oil giants in the talks. It was previously reported that Chevron was engaged in preliminary talks to acquire Texaco for approximately $42.8 billion. Structure, valuation, leadership of merged entity, are also some of the issues that need to be agreed on before any merger takes place.
