Chief engineer improves filter

The engine air filters developed by Tim Clarke of P - Max Filters of Australia provide 600% more surface area to inlet air than conventional filters and stops dust, oil and salt particles as small as 15 microns. Over 70 Australian and New Zealand fishing vessels use these filters.

The salient features of Cape Town based Petrel Engineering's fish pumps, which are installed on two Panama based fishing vessels, are discussed. These water trawlers use these pumps to get the fish out of the fishing lines.
