Child poverty and government policy: the case of the UK
Article Abstract:
The child poverty in UK and the nature of the recent changes in child tax credits, which came into operation after April 2003, are discussed. The Child Tax Credit (CTC) and the Working Tax Credit (WTC) are the new tax credits, which help to redistribute income to low-income families with children.
