Rare opportunity in China
Article Abstract:
China's stock markets are witnessing a dramatic growth of Class B shares stocks, as local and international investors seek alternative instruments to enhance their profitability. Analysts believe that the reemergence of Class B stocks can be attributed to the increasing value of Class A shares and the weakening of blue chips stocks. And as prices of Class A stocks continue to escalate, trading of Class B shares is expected to grow by 50%. However, experts advise entrepreneurs that investing in Class B stocks yield only short-term benefits.

Poor earnings outlook hurts China stocks in Hong Kong
Article Abstract:
China's distressed economy threatens the potential of Hong Kong-listed stocks of Chinese companies. Although the country is shielded from Southeast Asia's economic woes, analysts are not discarding possibilities for another poor performance as what happened in the first month of Sep 1997 when stock rates dropped by 16%. Chinese investors saw increases in Class H-shares after a series of head office restructurings and massive asset acquisitions.
