City of London chief seeks deal with Canary Wharf
Article Abstract:
Michael Cassidy, the Corporation of London's policy and resources chairman has met with Sir Peter Levene, Canary Wharf chairman to attempt to forge a written agreement over BZW's migration to Docklands. The City is concerned that other institutions may also leave the boundaries of the Square Mile. Cassidy and a number of groups will also analyse planning constraints working in partnership involving English Heritage.

Foster odds-on favourite for London races
Article Abstract:
The plans for Britain's new London City Racecourse will be subject to public enquiry in May 2001. A decision should be made that September, and, if the decision is favourable, the course should be completed by autumn 2003. The plan, created by architectural firm Foster and Partners, is for a site near Fairlop Station in Essex.
