Climb every mountain
Article Abstract:
Candidates for the governorship of West Virginia include Denise Giardina from the Mountain Party. Third parties face obstacles such as a requirement that supporters be told that they cannot vote in state primaries. Minor parties are sometimes seen as leading to instability. The Reform Party is automatically in the ballot in 20 US states, and needs some 600,000 signatures to be on the ballot in the other states. There has been an increase in US voters registered as independents to 15% in 1996 from 2% in 1964.
