Cotton Ginny will don a new look that projects a more earthy and natural feeling and will test the idea through two new test stores in Pickering, Ontario. The concept, which was developed by The Watt Group of Toronto, Ontario, also involves store employees acting as models in magazine ads for a more realistic approach. The retailer will also drop the word 'Plus' from the Cotton Ginny name to avoid confusion among consumers.

Sol aims for higher Quebec growth

Oland Specialty Beer of Toronto, Ontario, a division of Labatt Brewing Company Ltd, has launched an advertising campaign in Quebec in the summer of 1999 to promote the Mexican beer brand Sol. The campaign, which was created by ad agency Bos of Montreal, Quebec, includes humorous English and French television commercials, in-store displays and print advertisements in two of Quebec's weekly newspapers.
