The Amulet sedan, one of Chery Automobile Company Ltd.'s best-selling vehicles, failed a crash test organized by Russian auto magazine AvtoRevu, prompting the publication to call upon the company to remove the vehicle from the market. The crash test, known as the EuroNCAP, involves collision at 64 kilometers per hour with a metal crash barrier; the Amulet received only 1.7 points out of a possible 16.
