The management buyout of Coyle Hamilton of Ireland, an insurance broker, was finalised in 1995. The deal allowed non-management shareholders an exit, whilst enabling management shareholders to gain 100% control. The company's main business is corporate insurance broking, reinsurance and employee benefits insurance. Financing for the deal was met from management's own resources along with retained earnings and a stretch senior loan.

Lloyd's creates a new market

During 1994, Lloyd's listed a group of investment trusts on the London Stock Exchange. The trusts invested in variety of syndicates, and more recently companies have been developed which are aimed at geared investment and underwriting. The new companies follow extensive review of Lloyd's management style and operations. Details of the new ventures are included.
