Corporate finance firm KPMG has moved to a new development of offices located at Prices Dock, leading the way in establishing a thriving financial sector in the town. The KPMG's Liverpool office employs 12 people who know the area and people well, fostering the office's independence from its Manchester base.

Expanding in the Thames Valley

The Windsor, England, office of corporate finance company Price Waterhouse is set to expand its activities into the Thames Valley area. The company advised on 58 acquisitions in the first half of 1996, with a combined value of 1.7 billion pounds sterling. The Windsor office targets companies in the Thames Valley, from Oxford to Swindon, and, together with the Southampton base, is managed by Robert Conway.

The company was formerly a mutual society with 4,000 members, which became shareholders when it became public in 1987.
