Credit union seeks 'bank refugees'
Article Abstract:
Metro Credit Union's new Toronto branch features a cafe with live music, an exterior videoboard, and a 'Car Facts Center,' where members can obtain information on buying or leasing a vehicle. Larry Gordon, vice-president of development for the Toronto-based credit union, says Metro Credit borrowed motifs from Chapters, Home Depot and Citytv, and combined them into a new community banking resource center. Metro Credit has also tapped Ryan Edwards Communications to develop an advertising campaign to tout the credit union as a worthy alternative to the big banks.
