DENMARK: PLASTIC BOTTLE NOT ECO-FRIENDLY
Article Abstract:
According to a study by IPU, the Danish Institute for Product Development, the environmental impact of Carlsberg's new plastic bottle is three times as high as the impact of conventional glass bottles. However, according to Carlsberg's own estimates, the environmental impact is only twice as high. Miljostyrelsen, the Danish environment authority, will present new estimates in a few weeks; already now, the authority says the environmental impact of the two bottle types is about the same.
