Denmark: Danske Bank cautious in granting credits
Article Abstract:
Danske Bank, the biggest bank in Denmark, has decided to be more cautious in granting credits due to the looming recession. Danske Bank's ceo Peter Straarup, however, does not fear that the recession will be as lengthy and serious as the one experienced by the finance sector in the early 1990s. According to Peter Straarup, the tightening of credit regulations is only partly attributed to the terror attacks in the USA. Danske Bank accounts for 40% of all credits granted to businesses in Denmark.
