Denmark: Economic growth up next year
Article Abstract:
The Danish Chamber of Commerce predicts an economic growth of merely 1.0% for 2001 as a result of the weakening of the international economy. In 2002, however, the economic growth is estimated at 1.7%. The Danish economy is facing some major problems in 2002 including rising unemployment rates and signs that companies will cut staffing levels to an increasing extent. Besides, there are problems with bottle-necks in specific sectors due to lack of mobility in the labour force.
