DENMARK: ICOPAL TO CHANGE ROOFING-FELT DESIGN
Article Abstract:
As a consequence of the criticism of Icopal's roofing materials for being inflammable, the company has decided to change the design of the materials concerned. In practise, this means customers will be offered alternative roofing products. According to an article in the paper Berlingske Tidende, two of the company's products are inflammable. Icopal rejects this accusation, provided that the products are installed according to instructions.

DENMARK: TRELLEBORG INTERESTED IN PHONIX TAG
Article Abstract:
The Swedish group Trelleborg is interested in acquiring the Danish roofing material producer Phonix Tag, which is for sale. Peter Suter, head of Trelleborg's building materials division, says the company is interested in expanding in the roofing sector, which is considered a core activity, and adds that the Nordic countries are regarded as one single market. The Danish roofing material producer Icopal is not interested in acquiring Phonix Tag, as the company believes it would be negatively affected if it had almost monopoly on the Danish market.
