DENMARK: MAN B&W DIESEL INVESTS DKR 100MN
Article Abstract:
DKr 100mn (USD 14.1mn) is to be invested in 1999 in MAN B&W Diesel A/S, the Danish producer of ship engines which is part of the German group. Past winter, staffing levels in Denmark were reduced by 160 to nearly 2,500 employees. The department in Copenhagen is profitable, whereas the departments on Lolland, Holeby Diesel, and at Frederikshavn, Alpha Diesel, still report insufficient results. However, the investment plan includes all three departments.
