DENMARK: MULTIMEDIA FIRM WINS CANADIAN CONTRACT

Studie og Erhverv A/S, a Danish multimedia producer based in Fredensborg, has been awarded a contract by Canadian ISM-Careerware, which is the biggest distributor in the US of software to educational and vocational guidance. Studie og Erhverv specializes in educational material for study and vocational guidance. The contract with ISM-Careerware means that Studie og Erhverv A/S will get a lump sum and income from licenses. Studie og Erhverv is to supply a multimedia programme targeting some 75,000 schools in North America and a French version adjusted to the approximately 2,000 French-language schools in Canada.

DENMARK: 300 NEW JOBS IN THE IT INDUSTRY

The British IT group ICL has decided to increase its current staff of 500 in Denmark to 800 over the coming three years. Due to ICL's successes in e-business services, the group will hire a total of 4,400 in Europe and in the US. ICL has a total of 22,000 employees.

Per Aarsleff A/S, the Arhus-based firm of contractors, has been awarded a contract in India to renovate 8.4km of sewers in Bombay. The contract is valued at DKr145mn (US$16.8mn) and is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2003.
