DENMARK: NESA AIMS AT DOUBLING CLIENT BASE
Article Abstract:
The Danish electricity company NESA aims at doubling its client base within the next seven years. This will be realised through taking over networks from independent electricity suppliers all over Denmark, and through benefiting from its well-known brand. MD Poul Lind says the company will be a front runner in the consolidation of the Danish electricity market, and it has already listed the ten most suitable partners and acquisition objects among Danish middle-sized electricity companies. In addition, Poul Lind says NESA is interested in co-operating with major competitors such as SEAS and NVE.

DENMARK: ELECTRICITY PRICES HAVE FALLEN
Article Abstract:
Electricity prices in Denmark have fallen considerably in the past twelve months. For the Danish industry, the prices have been reduced by 15%. The decline is attributed to the deregulation of the electricity market. However, Danish prices are still nearly twice as high as prices in Sweden.
