Data envelopment analysis: visualizing the results
Article Abstract:
The visualization of results obtained from data envelopment analysis (DEA) is investigated. The procedure, which is a linear programming method of evaluating the relative efficiency of a group of decision-makers, has yet to be widely adopted by corporate managers due to difficulties in interpreting the results of DEA models. To this end, several two-dimensional graphs are presented. The charts enable the efficiencies, inefficiencies, reference units and other factors to be visually interpreted.
