David Lyle, pragmatic free thinker and idealist, dies at 69
Article Abstract:
UK architect David Lyle died after an accident in September 1998. He was famous for his idealist approach to architecture which was enhanced by his free thinking attitude to life and work. He began his career in the late 1950s after being encouraged by his mother into the profession of architectural design. Lyle became involved in radical education which encouraged children to learn through involvement and example.

Article Abstract:
Sir George Grenfell-Baines, chairman of the Building Design Partnership was an architect, a reformer, organizer and an inspirer. He had a knack of attracting complementary talents and watch them grow and his motto was 'always listen to what the client wants!'
