Denmark: Higher insurance premiums for power stations
Article Abstract:
Power stations in Denmark will see their insurance premiums rise by between 50 and 100% as a result of the 11 September terrorist attacks in the US. In general, companies with major concentrations of valuable facilities and operations that are vital for the society will be hard hit by the terrorist attacks. According to Henrik Hildebrandt, MD of Marsh, the leading insurance broker in the power station industry , says insurance premiums to power stations in Germany and France will be raised by up to 300% whereas in Denmark the increase will range between 50 and 100%.
