Denmark: Poor knowledge of public sector e-services
Article Abstract:
350,000 of the 600,000 Danes that use the Internet on a weekly basis never use the electronic services provided by the State, counties and municipalities. The remaining 275,000 know about these services but prefer to use the phone when contacting authorities. This emerges from a survey called "The Digital Citizen" conducted by PLS Ramboll among 1,000 Danes. According to consultant Allan Christensen of PLS Ramboll, the survey indicates that the government sector finds it difficult to spread knowledge about their e-services available. The survey also found that six out of ten Danes would prefer to communicate electronically with the public sector.

DENMARK: OPENNESS ABOUT BANK RATES
Article Abstract:
The Danish Board for Consumer Policies has proposed that the banking sector should set up a database where clients can compare prices and services between banks. A similar database for the insurance sector will come into operation in about a month's time. Finance Minister Marianne Jelved welcomes this proposal whereas the Danish Banking Association is skeptical about the idea saying that it could be complicated to compare these factors.
