Denmark: State grant subsidies to BSE tests
Article Abstract:
The Danish food minister has submitted a proposal to grant DKr75mn (US$9.0mn) to Danish cattle breeders to cover the cost for BSE tests. The proposal will be discussed at the cabinet's internal meeting today. According to the minister, the DKr75mn will not to solve the problem but denotes a moral support to cattle producers.

An opinion poll conducted by Greens Analyseinstitut regarding the Danish attitudes towards the Danish entry into the EU indicates a 10% rise for proponents. Thus the proportion of those in favour is 52% whereas 40.5% are against.
