Elektrim sets deal for Vivendi control of telecom assets

Elektrim S.A. is selling a 2% share in its Elektrim Telekomunikacja (ET) unit to Vivendi Universal S.A. The deal, including a minority sale of ET to a third party, will give Vivendi control over Elektrim's telecommunication assets.

Deutsche Telekom is set back in Poland; Elektrim is cleared to control mobile operator

Deutsche Telekom AG has suffered a setback in the fight for Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa, Poland's biggest mobile-phone operator. On Monday, a Polish court blocked Deutsche Telekom's request to block registration of a stock purchase that would give Polish conglomerate Elektrim SA a controlling share in the venture. Deutsche Telekom revealed that it would dispute the transaction in an international arbitration court in Vienna.
