Deutschland uber alles?
Article Abstract:
Large German companies appear to be performing well, and have ambitions to expand abroad. Daimler has acquired Chrysler, and German companies produce aborad. Companies have hidden reserves which they can use for foreign acquisitions. Yet German management tends to exclude foreigners, and be dominated by engineers in their 50s and 60s. Purchasing is sometimes corrupt, and Germany's acquisitions record is mixed. Stockholders' interests are also not always considered.

Neudeutsch over alles
Article Abstract:
English and American words and phrases are invading the German language apparently without the resistance seen in France. Words classified as Neudeutsche include 'airport,' 'T-shirt,' 'Bestseller,' 'buy-out,' 'jet-lag,' and many more.
