Article Abstract:
The Conservative Party has steadily limited civil rights in the UK. Recent laws curtailed rights to silence and peaceable assembly and strengthened police powers to search and detain. The UN has condemned UK standards, but opposition parties offer little resistance to avoid appearing soft on crime.

The space cadets grow up
Article Abstract:
Space travel has become a disappointment because of unrealistic expectations and poor execution. The expectation that space travel would become routine is an unrealistic one, and the fantasy of manned space travel has slowed progress because of the massive technology required.
