Dodging the Russian bullet
Article Abstract:
There have been allegations of money-laundering and misdirection of financial aid for Russia from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which have led to some criticisms of the US policy toward Russia. Al Gore, US vice-president, is also chairman of a commision that was involved in the coordination of US relations with Russia. His advisers argue that he was not aware of the investigation into money-laundering, but he has been partly blamed for the scandal by Republican, Steve Forbes.
