Feeding time: stress and barnacles
Article Abstract:
Lawrence Dill and Jill Gillett's study of the barnacle species Balanus glandula reveals that the animal is remarkably able to balance feeding time with time spent hiding from predators. Barnacles apparently can predict tidal flows, which also helps to avoid predation.
