The London insurance market has received nothing but poor news and bad forecasts for some time. Losses for the past few years are averaging $1.5 billion annually. The descent into lawsuits could begin in earnest, as names should soon begin to sue their agents.

Article Abstract:
Lloyd's of London is embarking on a new cost cutting strategy in an attempt to return to profitability. Its biggest problem may be its lack of capital, which is down 40% from 1988. It hopes to recruit incorporated insurers for a much needed cash influx.
