Donaldson ends an SEC tenure marked by active regulation

William Donaldson, Chairman of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission under pressure, has resigned. Mr. Donaldson was respected by investors, however he angered big business and unnerved Washington by being an aggresive regulator. The United States Chamber of Commerce brought a case against the United States Securities and Exchange Commission questioning a mutual-fund regulation championed by Mr. Donaldson.

Americans may change tax on overseas workers

Multinational corporations would reduce how many American employees they would use outside of the US if a major tax break for American citizens overseas is repealed. The tax break was included in a tax cut bill that was passed by the US Senate.
