A University of Maryland conference on the genetics of criminal behavior set for Oct 1992 has been indefinitely postponed, due to opposition from those who see the proceedings as potentially racist. Critics of the postponement claim research into possible links between crime and race should not be censored.

Crime and China: Hong Kong
Article Abstract:
Hong Kong has experienced a recent crime wave, although it is still one of the safest major cities. Robberies, shootings and smuggling are attributed to alliances between Hong Kong criminals and their counterparts across the water in Guangdong, China, who carry out the actual physical crimes.
