Airbus parent EADS posts 85% decline in net profit

Second-quartre net profit for European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co. dropped 85%, due in part to a weak US dollar and expenses for new aircraft projects at Airbus S.A.S. However, recent Airbus airplane orders have improved EADS's free cash flow.
