EADS would forgo aid to restart talks

EADS N.V., the parent company of Airbus has attempted to revive trade dispute negotiations between the United States and Europe by offering to give up controversial subsidies from European governments. It is forecast that the offer will not sway Boeing Co. contends the government subsidies violate global trade regulations and the case is currently before the World Trade Organization.

Northrop weighs EADS alliance to seek contract

Northrop Grumman Corp. of the United States is in joint venture negotiations with EADS N.V. of the Netherlands in hopes of battling Boeing Co. for a multibillion dollar United States government aerial-refueling planes contract. The defense contractors met to shortlist four possible sites in the United States for a major new operation.
