Oil rigger Abbot agrees to buyout by management

UK petroleum services firm Abbot Group PLC has agreed to be bought out by management in a deal backed by US private equity company First Reserve Corp. The deal is valued at $1.82 bil, which boosted Abbot's shares by 14% to $7.64.
