Internal-Markets Commissioner Charlie McCreevey of the European Union is on a diplomatic mission to the United States seeking regulation changes to the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 for European Union companies. The changes would allow European Union companies to more easily end filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and to annul costly financial accounting reporting requirements.
